Cosmos

You are as if a starship in the outer space, which is black, empty, and pitiless. And which is, at the same time, enchanting with its mysteriousness and unpredictability. Sometimes there come obstacles, which pelt down on you as meteorite showers – then there comes satisfaction from adroit and successful maneuvers. Sometimes by your side there appear friends and loved ones, flaring up like stars: some – bright and sizzling, some – temperate. Some of them awaken a desire to adhere to them forever – so pleasant is the warmth they pour on you; others, on the contrary, splash out on you such a heat that your instinct drives you away from them. And some of them remain aside for various reasons – and their warmth grows weaker, if not dies out completely; and then all that remains is the same black and mysterious vacuum, cold as all voids.
