      Sasha was born January 16^th, 1973 in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, former USSR. His mother taught mus ic, and his father was a physicist.  Sasha began following in his fathers steps at a very young age. Sasha had overwhelming high academic achievements. During his time in high school he took extra courses at Tbilisi State University. He graduated high school early and began his full course studies at the University at his sixteen. He was highly acclaimed for his excellence in mathematics and physics. During his first year at university he won the State Competition in Physics. This began his interest in Physics research.  In 1991 due to his work in this field he was invited to the University of Berlin in Germany, where he gave a presentation. Although he was still a student, Sasha was beginning to be well respected in his chosen field. He began to combine his love for physics with computer science.  The president of Pie Systems based out of Beverly Hills, CA, offered him a position while he was still taking classes at the University.  At age 21 he graduated the University with a Masters Degree in Physics and Mathematics.  He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1994. Sahsa’s family settled down in New York, and he moved to California, where he continued working for Pie Systems.  Upon returning to New York, he was offered a position as a senior software developer for CT Corporation.  In 2000 he established his own company “Groms Systems, Inc. “The focus of the company was Software development and photo services.  Still running his own company he took on the position as software architect at Cantor Fitzgerald in February 2001.   Sasha enjoyed writing short stories, loved photography. He had a passion and true talent for capturing the beauty in all things. Although, it was only a hobby, he attracted the attention of some major photographers in New York and in Russia. His work is posted on the internet at  www.photosight.ru. He was also awarded a press pass. Aside from photography, he also wrote essay’s, short stories, poems and enjoyed playing guitar. Sasha’s personality shined the light upon the world that surrounded him. On September 11^th that light dimmed, because his life , as with so many others, was cut terribly short.
